I am so sorry to hear this.
Pasteurella is a normal inhabitant, or a 'commensal' of cat mouths and skin and not something we treat.
Of course, if your cat has e.g. an abscess or dental disease, this should be treated.
Those most at risk are the young, elderly, pregnant and immune-compromised.
It's important to prevent any opportunity for the cat to bite or scratch you.
Any bites or scratch should be treated promptly by your doctor and they may start prophylactic antibiotics.
