Recently, I switched from kibble to 100% wet food, and tried to automate the whole process. Would you prefer
A) canned food - automated can opener, and then switch to the next can
B) freeze-dried food - automated machine to add freeze-dried food & water together to a plate, and then switch to the next clean plate.
C) defrosting frozen food
Please kindly leave an answer and I'd appreciate your sharing the reasons for the choice.
I would go with Option B: Freeze-dried food with an automated machine.
-
Nutritional Value: Freeze-dried food retains most of the nutrients since the freeze-drying process preserves the raw ingredients better than cooking. Once hydrated, it provides a balanced meal similar to fresh food.
-
Convenience: An automated machine that combines freeze-dried food with water is more practical than dealing with cans (which need opening) or defrosting frozen food (which takes time and planning). The process is straightforward, and you can control hydration levels to suit your pet’s needs. snow rider

Storage and Shelf Life: Freeze-dried food has a longer shelf life and is easier to store compared to wet or frozen food. You don't have to worry about spoilage as much as with frozen options.
