I hate plumbing

  • I don't know what plumbers make, but I don't want that job. Ever.

Was losing water flow in the bathroom sink faucet again. Last year when it happened, it was simply some sand in the hose by the fitting, so I shut off the water, disconnected that hose, drained it, let the water run through the fitting a bit, reconnected, turned on the water...and got a shower from the bottom of the faucet where I hadn't even touched. I shut everything down and started checking...out of necessity, not because I wanted to continue with this stupid job. Ended up having to take off the faucet, via the nut and bracket holding it in place under the countertop, and discovered the cold water line was about 1/2 thread away from coming off. Also discovered the hot water line wasn't tight. Finally got the lines reattached, and tight, reassembled everything, and the faucet works fine, with good water flow and no leaks. Sure glad it all didn't come apart when we weren't here.

  • We just had our shower faucets replaced and they sure made it look easy. No more dripping water 24/7 from the original "cheap faucets".

  • I had the same headache with a sudden leak behind a wall and no idea where it was coming from. Ended up calling www.pm247.co.uk and they had someone out same day who found a cracked pipe and fixed it fast. Saved me from tearing into the wall blindly and making it worse.
