Cats stay in heat for about 3-7 days on average, and they have obvious signs including putting their butt in the air, mewoing and acting extra affectionate.
Uncommonly, seasons last longer and can go on for a couple of weeks.
This time of year, you may find your cat going into season every 3-4 weeks, as it is mating season.
Be very careful there are no viable escape routes as she may be keen to roam when in season.
