Generally, one bag will last for one month with one cat. Keep in mind other factors may influence your usage such as the size of your litter box, how deep you fill it, and how often your cat(s) use it.

Compared to clay litter, it just costs more to make this product. There are more steps involved in sourcing the raw soybean byproduct, processing it into a powder, and shipping it to the customer. By choosing quarterly deliveries, we save on shipping costs which we pass along to you (save 10%).

Yes! Check out our reviews - this is the number one feature of our litter. Because the pellets are larger than most litter kernels, it doesn't stick to your cat's paws as much. As such, it's extremely low-tracking, meaning you won’t find pieces of it spread throughout your entire home.

When the bag is first opened, there is a small amount of dust from crushed pellets in transit, but it's practically nothing compared to clay litter. We've had lots of asthma-cat-parents comment that they love the litter for this reason.

Oh yeah, really! Small clumps of this litter can be flushed in a well-maintained septic system. Use your scoop to break up larger clumps as needed, with each one being no bigger than a billiard ball. Before flushing, just make sure to check with your local and state regulations.

In true tuft + paw fashion, we put your cat first. So yes, absolutely! Our formula is simple with five safe ingredients: Soybean Fiber, Corn Starch, Corn Flour, Guar Gum, Charcoal.

Our litter is made primarily of soybean fiber which is a byproduct of the soy industry. When soybeans are processed into food products like tofu and soya milk, the fibrous material is filtered out and would otherwise go to the landfill. Instead, we’re able to repurpose this into absorbent cat litter. Since it’s made of natural materials it can be disposed of by flushing or composting, if your local regulations allow.

We don’t recommend using with automatic litter boxes, and will not be responsible for damages resulting from misuse. Our best seller Cove is a simple, all-in-one litter box that pairs well with Really Great Litter and comes complete with a scoop, brush and dustpan.

When unopened, Really Great Litter lasts 24 months from its production date, as indicated on the bag. Once opened, the bag should be used as soon as possible to benefit from peak performance. Store sealed in a dry, cool, and ventilated space.

The safety of your kitty and the environment is always our top priority! According to the CDC, cats kept indoors that do not hunt prey, and are not fed raw meat are not likely to be infected with Toxoplasmosis. We’d recommend that you only flush feces of indoor cats, in municipalities which allow it.
